Ever wonder how a lot of antique shops get those old wooden drawers to slide so smoothly? Yep, they simply use a candle to lubricate the bottoms of the drawers. No sanding is required, (usually). This hack is particularly useful if you were considering buying older, wooden furniture but were worried the drawers would eventually get "sticky". You can also use a candle to lubricate other parts of a drawer where it comes in contact with the dresser, such as the top or sides.
This should ensure that your wooden drawers slide easily. If they don't, then the drawer might just need a good sanding after years of use. But hey, even that's an easy fix.
